Rick Purdie

Best known for his establishment of Jazz Express, a quartet that played at Sanctuary Cove for many years from the 1980s to the early 2000s. Rick started playing guitar in the early 1960s and has been a well-respected jazz guitarist in the South-East Queensland area since.

PURDIE, Richard "Rick" John Late of Aspley, formerly of Virginia, passed away peacefully on 14th April, 2014. Aged 70 Years Dearly loved Husband of Joan, loving Father and Father-in-law to David and Michele, Daniel and Andrea adored Pa to Helena, Emelia, Alden and Chloe. Loved Brother to Sue. Family and Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Rick's Life, to be held at The Parish of Our Lady and St Dympna Church, 479 Robinson Road, Aspley, 4034, on Tuesday, 22nd April, 2014, commencing at 10 a. m. ."Sadly Missed and in our Hearts Forever. "
